I beleive this speaks for itself. Honk please, for the sake of my sanity.

Oh, and just as a fair warning, if any nutass fangirls show up and start flaming me about speaking my opinion, when they obviousley smear their opinion all over the internet, I gaurentee there will be complete and utter hell to pay.

*half honk*

I don't hate it, but it isn't the best piece of fiction around. If anything, it is the hype around it that has caused me to dislike it to a degree. I can't go a day without hearing about it, love or hate. (*cough* And just because I'm LDS does NOT mean that I have to love Ms. Meyer's fiction... I've had some people that look at me as though I need to, including my grandma. *sigh*)

*Marks Calendar* That's day 72... :D

For one, thank you for not being upset =D I'm perfectly fine with people who like it, I just really get my fur rubbed the wrong way when the kooky fangirl maniacs go on and on and on about how great it is to me, when I constantly repeat that I dislike it for numerous reasons.

And I know how you feel. Some fandoms I've been very loyal to I've began to dislike because of hype. I just really dislike anything popular in general, but it's not just the popularity when it comes to Twilight. I tried the book, so I have my reasons to dislike it.

Once again, thank you for not being upset. :) I just made this to give the Twilight haters a bit of a laugh. I have no intention of hurting anyone.

Well, you're welcome for not being upset. I try to look at both sides of any argument, which is actually why I read the Twilight books in the first place. They do have some good parts to them, most of it going to different ideas, but I also know that they are very flawed. Personally, I prefer Meyer's not-so-appreciated book 'The Host'. Even though it has its flaws as well.

For now, though, I'm just trying to stay away from Twilight until the hype is down. Which means I will likely not see the movie until it has been out on video for 6+ months.

And hey, it's a silly little deviation. I don't see why anyone should get upset about it. It's just there to make people laugh and to express your feelings. That's what Deviantart's for. Expressing your thoughts and feelings.

:iconpalmalora:
EXACTLY. That's the very reason I read it too. The 'love' and 'hate' side were so split up I just decided to go for it. The thing that got to me the most (besides Bella's Mary-Sueness) I think was the promotion of unhealthy realationships.

Now, normally, I try to keep quiet on my opinions on relationships. I'm Asexual, but I'm also a bit of a feminist. So normally romance turns me off and I just ignore it. But I'm sorry, the way Edward treated Bella just downright SICKENED me. And, it didn't help she just submissed to it. It scares me that there's a bunch of 12-14 year olds, who are just being exposed to relationships reading this, and could potentially "copy" it in a way. I already know a few people in that situation. *sigh*

And the "prettyness" over "respect" gave me a lot of problems too...

And you never know with fangirls. I was reading through the comments of someone's anti-Twilight deviation and she said somebody physically hurt her when she stated her opinion to that person.

*looks up at humungous message, then looks at clock*

... I either have no life and/or I'm an insomniac XD

Heh. Well, I've heard from many people that "Edward is just teasing her.", but that was a little too soon in the relationship to tease like that. People need a better relationship built on trust and such before they start with "playful teasing", if they ever decide to do that at all.

But what bugged me was actually Bella. She doesn't seem to realize that all these people like her, and instead goes off and goes for the more mysterious people.

However, like I said, I'm basically half-and-half on my like/dislike of the story. It was clever in some parts, and the fact that it was 1st person was interesting, and makes me wonder how the story would have looked in a different point of view. (Say, perhaps, 3rd person.)

And I'm an insomniac as well...I just was in pain and HAD to go to sleep. :) (braces stink)
