I don't hate it, but it isn't the best piece of fiction around. If anything, it is the hype around it that has caused me to dislike it to a degree. I can't go a day without hearing about it, love or hate. (*cough* And just because I'm LDS does NOT mean that I have to love Ms. Meyer's fiction... I've had some people that look at me as though I need to, including my grandma. *sigh*)
*Marks Calendar* That's day 72...

And I know how you feel. Some fandoms I've been very loyal to I've began to dislike because of hype. I just really dislike anything popular in general, but it's not just the popularity when it comes to Twilight. I tried the book, so I have my reasons to dislike it.
Once again, thank you for not being upset.

For now, though, I'm just trying to stay away from Twilight until the hype is down. Which means I will likely not see the movie until it has been out on video for 6+ months.
And hey, it's a silly little deviation. I don't see why anyone should get upset about it. It's just there to make people laugh and to express your feelings. That's what Deviantart's for. Expressing your thoughts and feelings.

Now, normally, I try to keep quiet on my opinions on relationships. I'm Asexual, but I'm also a bit of a feminist. So normally romance turns me off and I just ignore it. But I'm sorry, the way Edward treated Bella just downright SICKENED me. And, it didn't help she just submissed to it. It scares me that there's a bunch of 12-14 year olds, who are just being exposed to relationships reading this, and could potentially "copy" it in a way. I already know a few people in that situation. *sigh*
And the "prettyness" over "respect" gave me a lot of problems too...
And you never know with fangirls. I was reading through the comments of someone's anti-Twilight deviation and she said somebody physically hurt her when she stated her opinion to that person.

But what bugged me was actually Bella. She doesn't seem to realize that all these people like her, and instead goes off and goes for the more mysterious people.
However, like I said, I'm basically half-and-half on my like/dislike of the story. It was clever in some parts, and the fact that it was 1st person was interesting, and makes me wonder how the story would have looked in a different point of view. (Say, perhaps, 3rd person.)
And I'm an insomniac as well...I just was in pain and HAD to go to sleep.
